Larry takes Louise's plate and finishes it off, Louise look mad. The Stephens' are still having a groovy time.

A mid-20s, hippy announcer comes to the stage. The audience notices him. They turn their heads to see what he will say.

ANNOUNCER
Alright Dudes and Chicks! Please welcome
back to the "Hot Rock Cafe"... BREAD!!!

The audience stands and claps their hands. Bread makes a big entrance to the stage and gets ready to perform their hit song: "Guitar Man"

4. INT. HOT ROCK CAFE: STEPHENS / TATE TABLE - NIGHT

LOUISE
Larry!

Larry, still eating. Louise, tries to get Larry's attention.

LARRY
What!?

LOUISE
Look, it's Bread.

LARRY
No, thanks! I've already had enough this evening. Still working
on this Sloppy Joe.

LOUISE
I mean the band. Bread, ya know? The band!

LARRY
Oh.

LOUISE
Dance with me?

LARRY
I think i'll sit this one out.

Louise is disappointed.

LOUISE
You've sat every one out!

Darrin stops looking at Larry & Louise and turns toward Samantha.

DARRIN
Samantha, darling. Would you like to dance to bread?

SAMANTHA
Sure. Sounds breadly.

Samantha get up and walk over to the dance floor. Louise envy's Sam & Darrin.

5. INT. HOT ROCK CAFE: STAGE / DANCE FLOOR - NIGHT

Bread begins to play their song while Sam & Darrin and several other dancing couple await for the band to begin playing. Bread plays "Guitar Man" for about 30 seconds while several couples are dancing, while the song is still playing, several couples back away while Sam & Darrin are dancing GREAT, taking up the whole dance floor while the other couples just watch them.

6. INT. HOT ROCK CAFE: STEPHENS' / TATE TABLE - NIGHT

Larry continues eating. Louise is amazed by their dance.

LOUISE
Wow! Look at Darrin & Samantha.

LARRY
Okay.

7. INT. HOT ROCK CAFE: STAGE / DANCE FLOOR - NIGHT

The song finishes and the other couples return to their seats talking about the real amazing, extraordinary dance Sam & Darrin did. Samantha is tired. Darrin is acting very crazy, like he is drunk. Darrin is extremely proud of his dance.

SAMANTHA
Whew! I'm beat! Let's go back to our table.

Samantha begins to walk away when Darrin grabs her by the arm and makes her stay.

DARRIN
Wait. Honey? Let's do some more dance.

SAMANTHA
Listen. Honey? Let's do some more sit.

Begins to dance in place with no music. Samantha stops him.

DARRIN
I wanna do some dance!

SAMANTHA
Okay... listen... I got an idea.

Darrin is eager to hear Sam's idea.

DARRIN
Tell me.

SAMANTHA
We go home.

DARRIN
Ah ha.

SAMANTHA
Then we do some dance.

Sam mocks Darrin by dancing, she stops before anyone sees her.

DARRIN
Oh-kay. Race you to the door.

Darrin takes off toward the exit. Samantha quickly fallows.

SAMANTHA
Bye! Larry & Louise.

Samantha waves to the Tates. Louise waves back happily while Larry continues to eat. The audience watches Darrin act like an idiot.

8. EXT. HOT ROCK CAFE - NIGHT

Darrin jumps in the car and takes off, not knowing that he forgot Samantha. Samantha runs to the exit. She wants to know what happened to Darrin.

SAMANTHA

9. EXT. STEPHENS' HOUSE - NIGHT

Darrin pulls into the driveway and jumps out of his car. A cab pulls up to the house, Samantha gets out of the backseat and pays the cab driver. Darrin looks over at the cab.

DARRIN
Hi ya honey!

Samantha just looks at Darrin. The cab drives away.

DARRIN
Race you inside.

Darrin takes off running into the house. Samantha runs after Darrin.

10. INT. STEPHENS' LIVING ROOM - NIGHT

Samantha and Darrin run into the house.

SAMANTHA
Darrin... get back here. What is wrong with you..

Endora is sitting on the couch reading Tabitha and Adam a bedtime story.
Endora stands.

ENDORA
My! My! My! What's wrong with you Donald?

TABITHA
Yeah, Daddy!

ADAM
Daddy looks like ba-boon!

SAMANTHA
Tabitha! Adam! Why don't you go upstairs and get in bed.
Daddy and I will be up in just one moment.

TABITHA

Tabitha and Adam take off up the stairs. The adults stand their watching them.

SAMANTHA

Reaches to Samantha for a hug, Samantha hugs Darrin.

DARRIN
I'm sorry sweetheart! I just felt so in charge, powerful,
when I could dance like... I loved having that rock n' roll
feeling in me.

SAMANTHA

Samantha runs up stairs.

Runs after Samantha upstairs. Sam & Darrin have left the scene.

Zaps an old book of witchcraft onto the coffee table which is opened to a decorated page that says "A BAD CASE OF ROCK N' ROLL FEVER"

ENDORA

She's excited. Walks over to the book.

ENDORA
Okay... Donald. Your Rock n' Roll fever is going to get a lot
worse, before it gets better.

Endora begins to read an incantation.

ENDORA

There, Donald the Dude... I mean dud.

Endora makes a straight face. She waves her arms and she disappears.

11. EXT. STEPHENS' HOUSE - NIGHT

Close - up on Darrin. He is wiggling alot in his sleep. A smile graces his face. He talks in his sleep...

DARRIN
I'm Darrin the dude... I mean dud. I'm a Rock n' Roll star.

Continues to smile.

13. INT. STEPHENS' KITCHEN - MORNING

Samantha is cooking some scrambled eggs on the stove. Esmeralda gets some glasses from the cupboard and sets them on the counter not She walks to the refrigerator and walks over to where she set the glasses and pours the milk.

SAMANTHA
About done Esmeralda?

ESMERALDA
Just let me finish pouring these milks.

Endora pops into the kitchen, literally. And she is levitating herself in mid-air!

ENDORA
I FINISHED HOURS AGO! ...With John Lucke in Ireland!

ESMERALDA
Wow!

Esmeralda admires Endora's morning while she's puts the milk back in the refrigerator and sets the glasses on the table.

ESMERALDA (cont'd)
...I wish I could have mornings like that.

ENDORA
I agree. Witchly morning are something aren't they darling?

Samantha finishes the eggs, puts them on plates, and sets them on the table.

ENDORA

...Speaking of dull, where is he.

SAMANTHA

ENDORA
Donald, Derwood, or Dondo, whatever!

SAMANTHA
DARRIN! Isn't up yet!

Everyone jumps up real fast when they hear a loud guitar being played...

ENDORA
What in the name of goblins is that?

ESMERALDA
Excuse me.

ENDORA

SAMANTHA
Wait here. Sounds like it came from the den...

Samantha runs to the den. Endora stares at Esmeralda work as mortal while Esmeralda finishes the breakfast table.


14. INT. STEPHENS' DEN - MORNING

Darrin is a hippy costume with an electric guitar in his arms that is plugged into an amp. Behind Darrin is a whole set of band equipment set up. Darrin tries to play a song that doesn't sound very good. Samantha walks in.

SAMANTHA
Oh my stars!

Darrin continues to play for awhile, he doesn't hear Samantha. Samantha stomps on the floor or whatever it takes to get Darrin's attention. He finally notices her.

DARRIN
Oh hay, Baby!

SAMANTHA
What's wrong with you?

DARRIN
I feel craaaaaaaazy!

SAMANTHA
Your darn right! I thought this rock n' roll thing was settled last night.

Samantha is angry. Darrin walks over to get a hug, but Samantha backs away!

DARRIN
...Just wanted to get my groove on a little bit before I go
rockin' with Larry.

SAMANTHA
Larry has a band to?

DARRIN
No!

SAMANTHA
Then why would... Never mind. Ah, MOTHER GET IN HERE.

Endora pops into the room.

ENDORA

SAMANTHA
Mother, did you cast a spell on Darrin?

ENDORA
Of course not, spells are so... played out. Why I gave those
up last season.

SAMANTHA

Endora gives the witches honor, the she crosses her fingers behind her back.

ENDORA

SAMANTHA
Guess so... But how do you explain Darrin's...

ENDORA

Darrin begins to fix the strings on his guitar.

SAMANTHA
Yeah. Wait. How do you know?

ENDORA

Serena. Has any of the other family been around here lately?

ENDORA

Adam runs into the kitchen and Tabitha quickly fallows.

ENDORA

Notices what Endora said.

DARRIN

Endora levitates a drum stick over Darrin's head which hits him.

DARRIN

Samantha and Endora look at Darrin, What will he do next!? Darrin sings a made-up song and at the end of the song he makes a loud noise on his guitar.

DARRIN (cont'd)

SAMANTHA
Mother! Steady... Steady. Take a deep breathe.

DARRIN
Groovy, huh chicks?

ENDORA
Maybe you should try playing unplugged.

The cord which plugs the guitar into the amp unplugs, flies out, and hits Darrin in the head. Endora pops out. Samantha walks over to Darrin and cares for him.

SAMANTHA
Don't listen to what mother says. I am sure it'll be a number one hit!
You'll show her.

DARRIN
You really think so Sammy pooh?

SAMANTHA
Well. Listen. Why don't you go upstairs, change into your nice,
new dark suite and look as handsome as ever and get ready for
a nice day a work. Cool baby?

Samantha tries to push him out the den door. Darrin wants to stay in.

DARRIN
No baby. Baby, I wanna stay in here and chill with my main chick.

SAMANTHA
If you don't go to work, Larry will be awful upset with you.

DARRIN

SAMANTHA

Darrin is running up the stairs. Samantha runs after him. She is curious to see what his
groovy threads are. Tabitha and Adam walk into the hall from kitchen with Esmeralda.
Samantha stops to see what they want, but Darrin continues to run upstairs.

DARRIN

Endora pops onto the wooden couch sitting next to the staircase.

Darrin comes running down the stairs in some wild, heavy rock, band uniform.

DARRIN

16. EXT. STEPHENS' DRIVEWAY - LATE MORNING

Larry pulls into the driveway. Walks up to the front door and rings the bell.

The doorbell rings. Everyone stares at the door. Samantha gets ready to zap Darrin into some nice clothes but before she can do so, Esmeralda has already answered the door.

Larry walks in.

LARRY
Oh hi everyone! Darrin, you look, out of this worked, literally.

ENDORA

Tabitha twitches her nose and Darrin & Larry are frozen.

SAMANTHA

Esmeralda and the kids walk into the kitchen.

Endora stands and pops out of her flying outfit into a regular mortal clothes.

Let's see, there is no school today so just let Tabitha
and Adam play in the backyard, and you can watch
the television set or find a book to read or something.

Esmeralda pops back into the kitchen. Samantha begins to walks out the front door...

Walks out the door. Endora pops over to the window to watch Samantha leave.


18. EXT. STEPHENS' DRIVEWAY - LATE MORNING

Samantha gets into the car. She pulls out of the driveway and she is off to go see Darrin! Endora watches from the window.

19. INT. STEPHENS' LIVINGROOM - LATE MORNING

Emdora watches Samantha leave, once Samantha has left the driveway, she smiles and pops out.

20. INT. KITCHEN - LATE MORNING

Esmeralda is trying to put the dishes away and keeps dropping them while Tabitha & Adam help, it's literally a big mess.

ESMERALDA
Oh no! Not another one!

TABITHA
It's okay... We're used to everyone spilling.

ADAM
Bye bye mess!

Adam waves his arms as big as he can and the kitchen is so clean and spotless. Esmeralda is amazed by Adam's witchery. Tabitha is jealous Adam can use witchcraft and she can't.

Oh my! Well, you two just go and play until lunch time.

No more witchcraft... Mommy told us.

Samantha walks into the building anxiously to see what Darrin has been up to, Endora quickly fallows.

Samantha & Endora walk into the room and walk into an elevator and they leave to go up a couple floors or whatever.

Samantha & Endora walk into the room and get directions then leave towards a conference room.

BETTY
Oh hi Mrs. Stephens. You know Mr. Stephens came into work today
in the most....

music theme... you could give them a new hip look by using phrases
such as "Rock and Roll Around With Ford Tires" or other hip phrases.

Samantha quickly fallows as Mr. Ford stops Samantha...

I know you don't like the new & improved Darrin but
I just wanted to tell you that if our sales increase
this parody band could mean a big raise for Darrin.

Samantha smiles and leaves. Mr. Ford returns to his table to collect some papers or something.

24. EXT. STEPHENS' HOUSE - AFTERNOON

Esmeralda sits down on the couch and picks up the book of spells Endora left there last night thinking it was just any other book she could read. She picks it up and is ready to read it. She opens to the spell Endora used the night before. Esmeralda realizes that this spell could explain Darrin's reactions and runs over to the phone to call Samantha. Right when she picks the phone up Samantha & Darrin & Larry walk into the living room. Esmeralda hangs up and runs over to Samantha to let her know what she found...

ESMERALDA
Oh Samantha! Samantha! Samantha!

SAMANTHA
What's wrong Esmeralda?

ESMERALDA
I, ah, ummm....

SAMANTHA
...I see, Larry, Darrin, why don't you to go in the den and practice.

DARRIN
Sure. C'mon fellow crazy fool.

LARRY

DARRIN

Darrin kisses Samantha while Larry watches and then they go to the den to practice. Samantha anxiously waits to hear Esmeralda's news.

Esmeralda shows Samantha the book. Samantha takes the book and mumbles a little of the spell to herself.

SAMANTHA
Oh my stars! This explains why Darrin is a crazy fool.

ESMERALDA

SAMANTHA

ESMERALDA
I don't want to hear Mr. Stephens make fun of me again... that's a horrible name.

SAMANTHA
This whole thing is horrible. But let's figure it out... Let's see...
Mother already disappeared on me after I found out she put the spell
on Darrin and Larry. But Darrin acted like a Crazy Fool before we
came home to mother.. No way she could have casted that
spell while we were out...

Samantha mumbles the spell again...

ESMERALDA
What are you doing now?

SAMANTHA
Hey, the words to this spell and the same words to the song that Darrin
danced to that turned him into a Crazy Fool.

ESMERALDA
I don't understand.

SAMANTHA
Very rarely, mortals can actually cast spells that can actually work...

ESMERALDA
I'm a witch and I still can't cast a spell that will work....

SAMANTHA
This just might be one of those exceptions.... When the band was singing the song Darrin
was dancing to, they were really saying a spell, this spell...

ESMERALDA
Oh, I see! The band first put the spell on Darrin and then your Mother put
the spell on Darrin again which made it stronger.

SAMANTHA
Exactly. Hear that mother? We know what happened and
all we have to do is read the spell backwards which will reverse the
spell... Sorry you lose.

ESMERALDA
So what are you waiting for? Just hurry up and change Darrin
and Larry back.

SAMANTHA
Just giving mother a dose of her own medicine... Wait!

ESMERALDA

SAMANTHA
I can't.

ESMERALDA

SAMANTHA

ESMERALDA

SAMANTHA
No, Darrin & Larry are part of a parody band who are
advertising tires who love the band and hope it will increase sales...
they've already booked them at the Hot Rock Cafe for tonight at 9pm.

ESMERALDA
Oh no.

SAMANTHA
Oh yes.

ESMERALDA
If Larry & Darrin sing that song their Rock n' Roll
fevers will grow stronger. Then there will be a whole lot of yelling.

Esmeralda begins to fade. Samantha gets an idea and grabs a pad of paper and pen and takes a seat at the dining room table. Samantha convinces Esmeralda to come back and Esmeralda joins Sam at the table.

SAMANTHA
I got a plan... C'mon back Esmeralda.

Esmeralda fades back at the dining room table where Samantha is sitting.

ESMERALDA
You do?

SAMANTHA
Yes.

ESMERALDA
Oh... If you want my help you might as well just
forget it because I'll just screw it up... I'll go...

Esmeralda pops out.

SAMANTHA
Esmeralda! C'mon back. You won't screw it up. You might
even learn a thing or to and you could start casting good spells again...

Esmeralda pops back into a chair.

ESMERALDA
Okay! But don't get back if I sneeze up something awful...

SAMANTHA
I won't. Witches honor.

ESMERALDA
So, what's the plan?

SAMANTHA
If the song was able to cast the spell on Darrin by singing it
all I have to do is write a song that will reverse the spell and get Darrin to sing it.

ESMERALDA
Marvelous idea.

SAMANTHA
Thank you. To reverse the spell all Darrin'll need to do is sing
the song backwards...

ESMERALDA
Really. That will do it?

SAMANTHA
I hope.

Tabitha & Adam walk in from the kitchen.

TABITHA
Oooh. Mommy is writing a spell...

SAMANTHA
Now Tabitha, you know very well that this is one of those emergencies
where witchery is allowed. Now go finish your lunch.

ADAM
We finished already.

SAMANTHA
Then go play outisde.

ADAM

SAMANTHA
Then go play upstairs... I know you want to watch a real
spell being written but your too young...

ESMERALDA
Besides, she's teaching me right now.

TABITHA
C'mon Adam.

ADAM

Samantha notices it is on the coffee table and she gets up and brings it back to her...

Samantha gets up from the table and walks toward the den. Esmeralda is proud that she helped write a spell!

26. INT. DEN - AFTERNOON

Larry and Darrin are practicing really hard. They are sweaty and music really isn't all that great. Samantha walks into the room and tries to get their attention but the don't listen to Sam. She finally gets their attention...

SAMANTHA
'Bout time.

DARRIN
Sorry but we are practicing really hard honey!

SAMANTHA
Yeah... I know... But I wanted to ask you if you would sing a little
song I wrote.

LARRY
Well give us a look.

Samantha hands Larry the paper and he and Darrin take a look.

SAMANTHA
See, I kinda wrote a regular song and then rewrote it
backwards. Just trying something new... Who knows?
The audience might love it! You don't like it?

LARRY

DARRIN
We love it sweetheart!

SAMANTHA
So your gonna play it tonight?

Larry doesn't want to but Darrin doesn't want to hurt Sam so he encourages Larry to agree.

DARRIN

Samantha thanks Darrin and gives him a big kiss.

Samantha leaves the room happy that her planned worked. Larry looks mad at Darrin because he didn't want to sing the song. Darrin just tries to ignore it...

27. INT. FRONT HALL - AFTERNOON

Samantha runs out of the den where Esmeralda waits to find out what happened. Samantha is excited and Esmeralda is nervous.

ESMERALDA

SAMANTHA

ESMERALDA
They're going to play your spell, I mean song tonight?

SAMANTHA
Yep!

ESMERALDA
Good. So were in the clear...

SAMANTHA
...As long as my spell works.

ESMERALDA

SAMANTHA

ESMERALDA

SAMANTHA
I found a loop hole out of her spell, so she won't be back for awhile.

ESMERALDA

Act Three:

28. INT. HOT ROCK CAFE - NIGHT

Darrin and Larry are on stage getting ready to perform. Sam, Louise, and Mr. Ford are seated right in front of the stage...

LOUISE
I don't believe this.

SAMANTHA
What?

LOUISE
Larry won't get up to do a simple dance with me, but he'll get up
to perform live.

SAMANTHA
Oh well! That's Larry for you I guess.

LOUISE
...And besides, our husbands have sure been acting weird.

SAMANTHA
Well, let's just hope one night on the spot and knock them out of it.

LOUISE

MR. FORD
I sure hope this parody band of Darrin's sure does raise my prophets.

LOUISE
Well the place is packed tonight. That's a good sign...

MR. FORD
Guess so.

An announcer walks onto the stage...

ANNOUNCER
Okay everyone! Tonight we have a new, great band for you tonight. Presented
to you by Rock n' Roll Tires.

Endora secretly pops into a seat next to Samantha.

SAMANTHA
What are you doing here?

ENDORA
Just wanted to see how well you did by trying to cancel my spell...

SAMANTHA
Oh mother! But I do think I did a good job.

ENDORA
We'll see.

ANNOUNCER (cont'd)
Now give it up for Two Crazy Fools performing their hit song,
"Man Guitar".

ENDORA
Oh no!

Larry and Darrin Bread's hit song "The Guitar Man" backwards and through the song they kinda struggle as he seems out of it for a few seconds during the song. Samantha is anxious to see if her spell worked. Endora is enjoying Darrin's idiotic performance. Louise is enjoying the show. Mr. Ford just hopes he makes money. By the end of the first chorus Darrin & Larry stop the song and fall onto the floor stage. Samantha and Louise rush to their aid, Mr. Ford is upset he lost money. Endora is upset her spell didn't work and pops out.

SAMANTHA
Darrin!

LOUISE
Larry! Are you two okay!

LARRY
We're fine... Come sit and have a drink...

SAMANTHA
Do you still want to rock n' roll?

DARRIN
No!

LARRY

Larry and Sam help Darrin and Larry to the table. Mr. Ford approaches them...

MR. FORD
You advertising idiots! The contract is off and i'm leaving.

LARRY

Mr. Ford leaves. Samantha looks for her mother!

The couple walk onto the dance floor...
