- As you probably have noticed Nick at Nite has started a new segment called 'A Whole Lotta Lucy.' This features 2 'I Love Lucy' episodes and an episode of The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour. This takes place every Saturday night, starting at 10/9c. Because of this Bewitched has changed time slots (only on EARLY Sunday mornings). You can now catch Bewitched at 1am/12c, (just a half-hour later), and then that same episode is repeated at 5/4c.

- HOW CAN I HELP MOVE ALONG THE BEWITCHED MOVIE (OR SERIES) INTO FULL GEAR? Recently on a well-know Bewitched message board - http://broph.homesite.net/Bewitched/postings.html - Mark Wood (author of 'The Bewitched Cookbook') posted how you can help move along this Bewitched sequel whatever).... HOW YOU CAN HELP BY MARK WOOD:

"Ok gang, here's the low down on anything new regarding Bewitched: Columbia/Sony who owns all rights to the show has NO plans whatsoever, at the moment, of doing anything Bewitched. Kasey (Louise) and I have tried for more than seven years to make Bewitched Again (sort of a Star Trek the Next Generation way of doing things) happen. Columbia has fought us every step of the way. Last year, we met with a lovely lady named Kim Haswell who is in charge of TV series at Columbia/Sony. For three years she had wanted to do something with Bewitched but the people running the feature movie department refuse to let go of the property and put it back into the hands of the TV people, where Kasey and I personally feel it belongs. Lets take quick stock of the other TV series that have been made into movies, these include: Leave it to Beaver, The Addams Family (one and two), Car 54 Where Are You, Seargent Bilko, Flipper, The Brady Bunch (one and two) and others. One very clear thought on each of these is that the have FAILED terribly at the boxoffice. I question why they keep making them when I have been told by many hundreds of fans of these other shows that they really hate to see any other actor playing their favorite character. Personally I can't think of ANYBODY that could play Samantha or Darrin or Endora or... Sure there are many actors that could look the part, sure wouldn't it be fun to see Shirley Maclain wear all those chiffon robes, sure it would be interesting to see a pre-story fleshed out with people like Sheila and Dave but, while she's a personal favorite of mine and even though she looked great, Anjelica Huston was NOT Carolyn Jones (Morticia) and never will be! If anything is to be done let's further the story and see where these people are now. The ones that are gone will just have to be worked around and, yes, it can be done. Enough of that Soap Box, if you're still with me here I'll take my butt in my hands and suggest this, you wanna try and make a difference? Well, the chance of it happening sits right next to impossible but why don't ALL OF YOU (strength in numbers gang) call Columbia/Sony. Ask for who ever's in charge of TV series production now or a TV movie (great way to start a series) and tell 'em what you want. If you still want the feature film, then tell 'em just that (keep in mind that none of your fav actors will be there probably). Yu'll end up leaving a message but a lot of messages might make 'em think twice about it all. You ready? You still reading? OK, here: Columbia/Sony 310-202-1234 or 310-244-4000 Good luck! (Uhm... don't hold your breath... but don't give up... we've bugged 'em for seven years now it's you guys turn!) HAGS and kisses! Mark..."

- Bernard "Dr. Bombay" Fox will guest star the new NBC soap opera Passions. The show airs at 2pm in all time zones, that's amazing! I have no idea who he'll play or when when his time on the show starts.

There is an evil witch on the show names Tabitha, who did admit once in real life that her favorite show is Bewitched.

- Here is an opinion of someone who saw the E! special on Bewitched. Thanks Endora.

ENODRA'S OPINION:

While I agree that the BW show didn't trash people and presented a wonderful tribute to EM, I'd hardly call it a success! They completely neglected AM's contributions to the show, and didn't even mention David White, Marion Lorne, Maurice Evans, George Tobias, Mabel Albertson etc.
As an EM show it was great, as a BW show it left a lot to be desired!

- Speaking of BEWITCHED, reports say that plans are in the works for a Spanish version of the show for the Mexican TV AZTECA Other than the fact that this version will be set in modern-day Mexico City, it will have many similar plot and character lines to the old show.

Visit TV AZTECA'S SITE AT - http://tvazteca.com.mx/

note - The website is in spanish, I think I have translated it to english here -

SEPTEMBER 1999
- There are new polls, so please vote!

- Well, looks like September will be a very busy months for Bewitched! Nick at Nite wil leave their Block Party Summer TV schedule on September 6th, well how I (and everyone else) thought Nick at Nite would return keeping Bewitched at 11:30pm EST, Nick at Nite changed their fall schedule pushing 'Our Show' all the way to 01:30am EST!!! Can ya believe it? That is too late! Anyway, the repeat showings of the episodes take place at 05:30am EST for all the early birds. The repeat showing sounds like the best time to watch it. The September schedule is listed below. But not to worry, the Screen Gems network will debut on September 20, and will some of the episodes of Bewitched of all time, at a great time, and hardly edited. Vic's Bewitched Homepage has a link where you can find what episodes are playing, and just about everything about the Screen Gems Network. Visit his site now at: http://members.aol.com/BewitchVic/main.html . You won't regret it. Any questions about the Bewitched September schedule just e-mail me at iluvlucytoo@mtnworks.net .

I have no idea if Bewitched is included in this maraton. Keep your eyes open!

- Dr. Bombay is our Passion. On September 17th at 2pm (in all time zones) Dr. Bombay guest stars on the NBC soap Passions. He'll be playing a friend of Tabitha's. Tabitha admitted twice on the show that her favorite TV of all time was Bewitched, her favorite was Endora. Tabitha is an evil witch on the show who is trying to destroy goodness. Vic's Bewitched Homepage helped the show pick what incantations they should use in the show. Welcome back Bernard Fox!
A cool Passions website with lots of info can be found at http://www.soapoperafan.com/passions/ if you want to research the shows, so you'll have a clue on what's going on.

- TBS Superstation's series The Chimp Channel, set in an all-ape television network, will parody classic television series' on its Thursday, Sept. 16 episode. Series' to get the monkey treatment are Gilligan's Island, I Love Lucy, The Partridge Family, The Andy Griffith Show, Charlie's Angels and -- yes -- Bewitched. The chimps will parody Jeanie & Samantha having a Who's Powers are Greatest Contest. The episode is entitled "Stolen Memories: TCC Anniversary Show." The premise is that someone has stolen the videotape of the TCC Anniversary Special, and TCC President Harry Waller has to air a night of classic TV shows. "The whole vintage TV idea worked so well, I think we'll keep doing parodies of classic shows in future episodes," said Tim Burns, creator and co-excutive producter of The Chimp Channel. "TCC versions of M*A*S*H or Cheers would definitely be fun, and we could have a great time spoofing The Monkees." Check local TV listings for show times.

- In October Ryan's Bewitched Homepage will be no more. I will take it down and create an all new website dedicated just to the newsletter. Thanks for all your guy's support! Its great appreciated.

- If you change e-mail addresses, please e-mail your new address so you can still get the newsletter.

- If you have any news to add please send it to me A.S.A.P. As you all know Bernard Fox makes his debut appearance on Passions on September 15th (yes, new date) his arrival is getting quite a lot of publicity. Pics and an article appear in this week's TV Guide and Soap opera Digest. Picutres include scenes from Bewitched and his role on Passions.

How he'll arrive... The evil witch on the show who's job is to destroy the forces of goodness is Tabitha, anyway, she failed her task to destroy Faith, Grace, & Charity (the forces of good) and her master, who controls her powers, abondoned her because she failed. Tabitha, now has no powers to destroy the good forces and so Tabitha's little assistant Timmy (a doll brought to life by Tabitha) had an idea to help Tabitha, so he calls DR> BOMBAY to assist Tabitha in her mission.

- If you change e-mail addresses, please e-mail your new address so you can still get the newsletter.

- If you have any news to add please send it to me A.S.A.P.

- An Officail, Recent Press release on Dueling Darrins: The Bewitched Marathon:

NICK AT NITE FACES THE TWO DARRINS HEAD-ON DURING "DARRIN VS. DARRIN . . . A BEWITCHED MARATHON"

New York, NY -- December 6, 1999 -- Could it be that Endora made the switch between the two Durwoods, Dum Dums...Darrins without Samantha and Larry Tate ever noticing? This bewitched, bothered and bewildered mystery will be faced head-on when Nick at Nite takes a close look at "Darrin vs. Darrin...A Bewitched Marathon" -- a week-long tribute featuring both black & white and color episodes of the series starting Monday, December 13 and continuing through Friday, December 17 from 9:00p to 1:00a (ET/PT).

Included in the 40-episode marathon are two episodes of the black & white Bewitched series followed immediately by the color remake, both featuring different Darrins. "Speak the Truth" was remade as the very last episode of the color Bewitched entitled, "The Truth, Nothing but the Truth, So Help Me, Sam" and the black & white episode entitled, "Junior Executive" was practically duplicated as a color episode entitled, "Out of the Mouth of Babes."

"It is fun to compare the two Darrins in the series as well as the remakes of the different episodes that were used during its eight-year run," explains Cyma Zarghami, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Nickelodeon. "Bewitched continues to appeal to audiences of all ages and is fun show to experience with parents and their kids."

- Sandra Gould was in last week's TV Guide's obituary section for 1999. There was a picture of her and here's the article:

SANDRA GOULD - JULY 23, 1925
-----------------------------------
JULY 20, 1999 - HER LIFE: As the second Gladys Kravitz on Bewitched, replacing Alice Pearce in its third season (1996-72), Gould used her trademark nasal war cry--"Abner!" --to redefine TV's nosiest neighbor. The former radio star mde many TV guest appearances , from I Love Lucy to Friends. She died at 73, from a stroke fallowing heart surgery, and is by a son. HER LEGACY: "For a woman of indeterminate age, she was a busy lady, She knew everybody in Hollywood and she atteneded every possible party and function she was invited to. I was so impressed by her energy, right up to the end."
----------Bernard Fox, Bewitched's Doctor Bombay

- ALSO: Dick York was in the newspaper magazine Parade, Parade was recalling "THE BEST AND WORST OF EVERYTHING" Dick York was TV's best Sugar Daddy! We're so proud! There was a small head shot of York. Here's the arrticle:

BEST TV DAD
from the Los Angeles Times

Isn't it sad when people let their emotions get the better og them and blurt out something they later regret, such as, "I'd rather live with the Simpsons," not realizing Homer earns a paltry $34,360 a year, and therefore they'd be happier with the Jeffersons, who earn an income of $100,000.
F o r t u n a t e l y, Brookstone has made it possible to avoid such mistakes. The store recentlycommissioned a study on famous TV dads.
Topping th list was jed Clampet of The Beverly Hillbillies, who earns about $1.75 million a year--in 1999 dollars---from from investing his $25 million oil fortune. The negative of being a Clampet include Granny's heavy-on-the possoms cooking. Other's on the list:
*Darrin Stephens of Bewitched, $45,000 as an ad exedutive. Downside: Endora frequently turns you into a mule.
*Ward Cleaver of Leave It to Beaver, $48,000 as an accountant, Downside: Eddie Haskell.
*Heathcliff Huxtable of The Cosby Show, $200,000 as a New York obstetrician. Downside: Overdosing on Jell-0.
At the bottom? Al Bundy of Married With Children with $15,748.

NICK AT NITE'S "BLOCK, BLOCK, BLOCK PARTY SUMMER" HEATS UP PRIMETIME WITH SIZZLING LINE-UP Annual Summertime Event to Include a Bonus Night as "Party Crasher Fridays" Features a Different Sitcom Every Week

New York, NY -- June 12, 2000 - Once again, viewers can enjoy their air conditioned living rooms all summer long as Nick at Nite pre-empts its entire primetime line-up to bring back It's a Block, Block, Block Party Summer -- the network's refreshing programming event in which six episodes of the same show are featured, back-to-back, from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (ET/PT). Beginning on Sunday, July 2 through Friday, September 1 Block, Block, Block Party Summer will present: I Love Lucy Sundays; The Andy Griffith Show Mondays; Gilligan's Island Tuesdays; Beverly Hillbillies Wednesdays and Brady Bunch Thursdays.

As a bonus, Nick at Nite will add a new element to its annual summertime event with Party Crasher Fridays, which celebrates a different sitcom every Friday with its own three-hour block. While many Nick at Nite favorites -- such as Bewitched, Happy Days and The Jeffersons - will crash the Block Party, other series not regularly available in the Place for TV Hits will also take over a Friday such as Head of the Class (July 7), Perfect Strangers (July 14) and My Favorite Martian (August 11).

"We think this year's Block Party Summer will go swimmingly as Nick at Nite offers a getaway from the broadcast networks' primetime reruns," explains Jim Burns, Senior Vice President of Nick at Nite Programming and Creative. "After beating the heat during the brutal months of July and August, viewers can kick off their sandals, relax by the soothing glow of their television and enjoy some of refreshing sitcoms from the past forty years."

LUCY SUNDAYS

The only way to cure the Sunday night blues and gear up for another week of work is to engross yourself in the misadventures of everyone's favorite red-head, Lucy Ricardo.

One of television's most enduring and treasured sitcoms, I Love Lucy follows the life of Lucy Ricardo (Lucille Ball), a wacky Manhattan housewife whose antics and schemes make life difficult for her sometimes hot-headed husband and nightclub band leader, Ricky (Desi Arnaz). Residing just downstairs are the Ricardo's best friends and landlords, Fred Mertz (William Frawley), and his wife, Ethel (Vivian Vance), Lucy's partner in mischief.

ANDY GRIFFITH MONDAYS

It's like having a virtual summer home in the mountains complete with a neighborhood where everyone knows your name, as the town of Mayberry takes over Nick at Nite every Monday night.

The Andy Griffith Show revolves around the town of Mayberry, North Carolina where the widowed Sheriff Andy Taylor (Andy Griffith) keeps peace at home and at work. The other Mayberry folks include: Andy's wiry partner, and cousin, Deputy Barney Fife (Don Knotts), who often locks himself in the jail cell; Andy's Aunt Bee (Frances Bavier), who acts as combination housekeeper and foster mom to Andy's son, Opie (Ronny Howard); Gomer Pyle (Jim Nabors), a gas station attendant; Floyd Lawson (Howard McNear), the town barber; Otis Campbell (Hal Smith), the town drunk who lets himself in and out of jail each day; Goober Pyle (George Lindsay), Gomer's cousin; Helen Crump (Anita Corsaut), Andy's girlfriend and Opie's teacher; and Thelma Lou (Betty Lynn), Barney's girlfriend. TV Land has acquired the rights to this highly-rated and enduring sitcom and will air all 274 episodes of the series.

GILLIGAN'S ISLAND TUESDAYS

The original survivors -- the castaways of Gilligan's Island -- show that living on a private oasis isn't as bad as it's made out to be??ess you really hate coconuts. Tune into Nick at Nite on Tuesdays for Sherwood Schwartz' creation, inspired by Robinson Crusoe.

The S.S. Minnow crew of two - the bumbling, Gilligan (Bob Denver) and the Skipper, Jonas Grumby (Alan Hale, Jr.) -- get their passengers to safety and then spend the next four years trying to get themselves off of the island. The other survivors include: Thurston Howell III (Jim Backus) and his wife Lovey (Natalie Schafer), who are worth millions of dollars; Ginger Grant (Tina Louise), a Hollywood movie star; Mary Anne Summers (Dawn Wells), an all-American girl from Kansas; and the Professor Roy Hinkley (Russell Johnson), a scientist.

BEVERLY HILLBILLIES WEDNESDAYS

Half-way through the week, the living seems easy, so kick up your heels every Wednesday to get a healthy-helping of The Beverly Hillbilies' concrete swimming holes, possum pies and Granny's melodic, "JED!!!!"

This fish-out-of-water sitcom follows the Hillbilly Clampett family who move from the Ozarks to Beverly Hills, California, after they discover oil in their backyard and strike it rich. Jed (Buddy Ebsen), a widower with daughter - Elly May (Donna Douglas) and nephew Jethro Bodine (Max Baer, Jr) - lives in a luxurious mansion with the ever-feisty Granny (Irene Ryan). Their money is safe and sound at Drysdale's Commerce Bank, which is run by Mr. Drysdale (Raymond Bailey) and his assistant, Jane Hathaway (Nancy Kulp).

BRADY BUNCH THURSDAYS

A signature show from the original, "Must See TV," The Brady Bunch is a must see every Thursday. Six episodes of the country's favorite bunch, offer groovy vibes, out-of-sight fashion and one swell housekeeper.

The Brady Bunch shows the lighter side of life when two families -- one made up of all females, and the other made up of all males -- come together to form the Brady Bunch. The show follows the lives of Mike (Robert Reed) and Carol Brady (Florence Henderson) and their six off-spring: Greg (Barry Williams); Marcia (Maureen McCormick); Peter (Christopher Knight); Jan (Eve Plumb); Bobby (Mike Lookinland); and Cindy (Susan Olsen). Mike and Carol juggle the busy lives of their "blended" family as they encounter everything from dating issues to stardom as a singing group. They are joined in their efforts by Alice (Ann B. Davis), the family's live-in housekeeper, who helps keep things in ship shape.

PARTY CRASHER FRIDAYS

Sometimes the greatest thing to happen to a party is a surprise party crasher who brings friends along. Every Friday, viewers will be treated to a different sitcom??nd of like an end-of-the-week happy-hour celebration with a smorgasbord of options to chose from.

The schedule for Party Crasher Fridays is as follows (all dates are Fridays from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. ET/PT):

July 7

Head of the Class

This sitcom from 1986, is the opposite of Welcome Back Kotter as Howard Hessman stars as Charlie Moore, a substitue teacher in charge with an overachieving class of honor students. The show also features Robin Givens, Brian Robbins, Rain Pryor, Daniel J. Schneider among others as the students.

July 14

Perfect Strangers

Also from 1986, Larry Appleton (Mark Linn-Baker) welcomes his cousin, Balki (Bronson Pinchot) -- a young sheppard from the Mediterranean island, Mypos - into his Chicago home. Misadventures ensue as the two try to get along with their new living situation despite their cultural differences.

The other Party Crasher Fridays include:

- On July 28th, Bewitched will be featured in a Nick at Nite's Party Crasher Fridays and the schedule is now realeased to the fans. At 9pm/8 central you can relive the magic all over again with the classic, "I, Darrin, Take This Witch, Samantha". At 9:30, the classic "Divided He Falls" episode will air. The color episodes roll in at 10pm with "Three Wishes " at 10pm, "Samantha Loses Her Voice" comes on at 10:30pm, and at 11pm we skip all the way to the classic Salem episodes with "Darrin on a Pedestal" at 11pm and "Samantha's Bad Day in Salem" at 11:30pm.

AUGUST 2000
- As you all know, the Canadian network, PRIME, has began showing the first two seasons of Bewitched in color and unedited. This just goes to show that we are missing out on alot of way cool Bewitched stuff. All I can hope is that
these color, unedited episodes will eventually expand world-wide on local networks... Because we all know Nick at Nite will never do what PRIME is doing now... But then again, it would never hurt to try... If we all work together perhaps we could persuade N@N to show Bewitched unedited or in color (The Black and white episodes). You can e-mail Nick at Nite at postmaster@tvland.com UNTIL THEN: "Vic's Bewitched Page" has a wonderful page for these Black & White / Color episodes: https://members.tripod.com/~bewitchvic/prime.html THANKS VIC.

- I am so sorry everyone. Bewitched IS NOT on Nick at Nite's September fall schedule!!! Neither is Happy Days, Bewitched, Mary Tyler Moore, Dick Van Dyke or Newhart. Since isn't even on the scheulde I won't bother giving the schedule. If you want to know when a certain show is on, e-mail personally. Bewitched's last airdate is on September 4th. I had heard Bewitched's contract would expire near the end of summer 2000. I doubt Bewitched is just on hiatus for the month.

E-mail, e-mail, e-mail Nick at Nite and tell them to put our show back on!!! They're e-mail is postmaster@tvland.com

- Bewitched is gone again. Screen Gems is replacing the Bewitched / Jeanie hour with the Silver Spoons / The Jeffersons at the of the month.

- Bewitched is officially gone. It was announced the other day that N@N no longer has a license to show Bewitched. All we can hope for now is that they are negotiating to renew the show or hope another cable network has picked up the rights.

- Right now: Rumors are circulationg around that Bewitched's contract could end in January 2002, first, I would have never believed this until I e-mail them about Nick at Nite received several responses in an ongoing e-mail...

ME: Could You Please tell me when the contracts from I Love Lucy and Bewitched are up? WIll you always plan to air the shows? Will Bewitched and Lucy be on the fall schedule? (Because I really like I Love Lucy too)

N@N: I am sorry, we do not discuss contract end dates, until they are about to happen.
ME: Okay, so are any of the show's contracts ending soon?
N@N: Not that I can discuss, sorry.

So, If Bewitched's contracts was airing soon then wouldn't they announce it? But still. The probably has a 50 / 50 chance of cancellation or being on hiatus. Also, Bewitched is CONFIRMED as part of TV Land's fandomenium marathons (A different show is featured in a 48 hour marathon every weekend on TV Land. Bewitched is schedule with I Dream of Jeanie on November 11th and 12th). I don't know if this proves anything or not but Bewitched is probably just on hiatus. But, who cares? Bewitched should always be on N@N, who cares at what time or if it's edited, BEWITCHED SHOULD ALWAYS BE ON! Again, e-mail Nick at Nite at postmaster@tvland.com and tell them what you think!

- Still no word yet. I e-mail N@N about 5 times a day and they've told me several things... They've said they don't have the rights anymore, they've said the show is on hiatus... List goes on, apparently they can't get they're story straight. Right now, I think the license has ran out to show Bewitched... But there's still a chance that the show is just on hiatus... I should know for sure in about September 15th. If anyone hears anything... E-mail me.

- On October 2nd, Bewitched & I Dream of Jeanie will be replaced with The Jeffersons and All in the Family on Screen Gems.

- Happy 36 years to Bewitched.

- Here is how you can contact N@N and tell them that you want Bewitched back on they're network:

OCTOBER 2000

- Prime TV will be skipping seasons 3 & 4 and will go straight to Season 5 beginning Wednesday after they air the Halloween specials.

- Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie return to Screen Gems on Monday.

- It's recently come to my attention that on the new ABC series, "The Geena Davis Show", the exterior of the home where Geena's character lives is also the exterior of the "Bewitched House". That's right, the outside of the Bewitched house is also used in Geena Davis, although the inside of the "Geena House" looks nothing like the inside of Bewitched.

- "Vic's Bewitched Homepage" has been updated as of 10.08.00. Pop on over for wonderful updates and some new reviews by the end of the month!

- The WB's new sketch comedy, Hype, parodied Hollywood Squares last night (10.08.00). The retitled the show "Dead Hollywood Squared" where famous dead people took over the squares.... And guess who was there? Paul Lynde, an actor of course. He claimed he wanted to take back over the center square.

Fave Paul Lynde Parody Quote:

PAUL LYNDE: "Hahahaha. I'm such a bitch!"

NOVEMBER 2000

- From the Bewitched board, there will be a piece on Dick York tonight on Entertainment Tonight.

- Return of the twitch...Yesterday (11.10) on the NBC Soap Opera, "Passions", there is an evil witch named Hecuba who is trying to take over a small town called Harmony. Anyway, Friday when she showed off some of her craft to a mortal, she TWITCHED HER NOSE to channel her power. This is not coincidence, I've watch the show all the time and they're always mentions "Bewitched".

- On November 16th, TV LAND will air a "Paris Themed Evening" where they'll play some of they're show's Paris episodes! Bewitched will air at 8:30pm eastern with "Witch or Wife".

The Complete Schedule:

08:00pm I Dream of Jeannie
08:30pm Bewitched
09:00pm Facts of Life (1:00)
10:00pm I Love Lucy (1:00)

Also, I have no idea what this means. It could mean that TV LAND and Nick got their license back to show BW, or "Bewitched" has become what they call, a "Dipping Title" where the networks have like 5 episodes of the show just to show for special events, like marathons. I'll be getting more information later, Just wanted to fill you all in.

- Go to http://www.biography.com/viewerschoice2000/index.html to vote for Elizabeth Montgomery as one of A&E's top biographies.

DECEMBER 2000

- Last night on E's True Hollywood Story of I Dream of Jeannie was quite bewitching featuring several references to Bewitched and Elizabeth Montgomery. They revealed how EM was totally against the making of IDoJ and featured several new interviews with William Asher. The next interview will be on December 16th at 4:00pm (EST) for those interested in watching.

- Yet another Bewitched reference today on Passions! Somehow, they were (The Evil Witch and a mortal girl) talking about witches and they brought up Endora! The vil witch said (and I quote) "Please....Endora was an amature" when her and Endora's powers were being compaired. What do you think of that one Jone?

- Sadly, Elizabeth Montgomery was not chosen as one of A&E's top biographies of the year. The top 10 bios were Oscar Wilde, Howard Carter, M. Night Shyamalan, Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Lana Turner, Queen Mother, Al Gore, and George W. Bush.

2001

JANUARY 2001

- FROM HARPIES BIZARRE: "Kasey Rogers and collaborator Mark Wood are planning to release a second book in August 2001. The project is tentatively being called Witch Crafts or Bewitching Crafts, and will feature Halloween craft projects. If it is anything like their The Bewitched Cookbook: Magic in the Kitchen, we are in for a treat! The cookbook is currently out of print. Look for a Bewitched @ Harpies Bizarre interview with "Louise Tate" about her current writing project, and of course, Bewitched coming soon." I'll be sure to send transcript in for a special newsletter.

- N@N update: Taxi, Newhart, and The Wonder Years have all moved to TNN (The Nashville Network). Due to this, N@N only airs 8 shows a night now. Some shows are airing 3 or 4 times a night now. N@N desperately needs to shows and Bewitched should be the first to return. Probably in March when the show debuted the color episodes in 1998.

- Bewitched is taking a permanent or temporary leave from the PRIME TV NETWORK in February. No details yet. I'll keep you posted. Currently, Bewitched can only be seen on Screen Gems. Send me you zip code and at BewitchedFan@hotmail.com and I'll tell when Bewitched airs. =(

- A good Bewitched friend of mine, Sharon, sent me the URL for a small article on a possible Bewitched movie with Cameron Diaz as Samantha. The article is as fallows:

"Bewitching Return

Hit '60s TV sorcery show Bewitched is set to make a magical comeback -- as a star-studded film.

The show starred Elizabeth Montgomery as housewife, mother and witch Samantha Stevens who followed her heart and married a mortal.

Charlie's Angel star Cameron Diaz is reported to be the firm favorite to play Samantha."

More information will be added later, if I receive any. Thanks Sharon.

- Okay, big news with N@N! They got their rights back to air Bewitched. Though they just aren't admitting yet, if you examine the different view points like the newest N@N promo. You can tell it's back. Plus the source who has filled me in on all the N@N news in the past that I tell you guys, tell me it is. He is RARELY wrong. N@N doesn't want to announce anything yet but the show will be as early as February or as late as June 2001. They'll have all 254 episodes again.

- A&E will feature a Paul Lynde "Biography" on January 17th. This won't be a rerun and is an all new episode.

- There is a collection of new Bewitched books out for 2001: "Everything Is Going to Be Just Fine, The Ramblings of a Mad Hair Dresser" is a book written by EM's personal hair dresser, who was also EM's very close friend. This book has alot of WAY COOL pictures. "The Way We Live Them" has several RARE pictures of different starts from the 1950's and 1960's. LOTS of rare pictures of EM. And last (but not least), Herbie J. Pilato's "Bewitched Forever" will enlist in it's third print set in April 2001. Much like the last edition, this book is like 10 pages short of the previous edition. I'm sure you can find these books at "Jude's Web Mall", if not there then "Amazon.com". Any questions about these? Don't be afraid to e-mail me. Here's what Herbie J. Pilato says about EM and Bewitched:

"I worked for years on the book, and Elizabeth Montgomery opened her heart and her home to me for hours of interviews because displaying that no matter how different two people are, they can still make a marriage work. Elizabeth also knew that I understood the show's underlined theme of prejudice; she knew, too, that I understood that Samantha loved Darrin for who he was, and not for what he could do for her. Her priorities were in line. I miss Elizabeth very much. She was beautiful, kind and rich, but unaffected by the Hollywood game. One of the most precious memories I have of her is meeting David Larry Tate White at her home. She suprised me with that visit, and was so happily-satisfied that she did. She enjoyed that I was shocked at sitting on her patio with Samantha and Larry."
